Fantasy Football

I thought I would wait until Tuesday this week as Manchester City playing Stoke should have brought me good Fantasy Football news. And, for once, it did. Get in David Silva. Considering neither Harry or Sergio really took part this weekend to see green arrows is a pleasant surprise.

Jordan Pickford, 7 points

I couldn’t find another affordable goalkeeper, and I am glad I didn’t. Pickford kept a clean sheet against Brighton and got me off to a good start this week. The only risk we now have is that Sam thinks he is a top manager again and his ego leads Everton to more defensive nightmares.

Jamaal Lascelles, 7 points

He didn’t have to do much against a now managerless Southampton, but Lascelles has been a very good signing for me this season. Newcastle really should stay up.

Cesar Azpilicueta, 3 points

His game as to gone to pieces since Alvaro Morata got injured and has fallen out of favour. Chelsea were lucky to get the win against Crystal Palace in the end.

Ben Mee, 6 points

Another clean sheet for Mee and me though they were only playing West Ham, I suppose.

Luka Milivojevic, 2 points

No penalties for Palace this week, but Luka was still one of their better players. Had Palace’s wrongly disallowed goal stood I reckon he’d have been in the bonus points.

Aaron Mooy, 3 points

A 0-0 with Swansea City for Aaron. I’ve brought him back into my squad when I really should have punted on Kenedy at Newcastle United. Ah well, if Huddersfield do stay up Mooy will have something to do with it.

Dele Alli, 11 points

With Harry going off injured, I needed Dele to step up and he certainly did. His first goal in a while was followed up by some brilliant link play with Son to lead Spurs to a win.

David Silva, 16 points

This was an unexpected bonus, the Bald Destroyer scoring a brace against Stoke. I nearly sold him a couple of weeks ago and I am very glad I didn’t. What a player.

Harry Kane, 2 points

Thanks for everything you have done this season, Harry. That’ll be all.

Glenn Murray, 2 points

The thing is with Glenn, he needs the ball to score.

Total: 66 points

I’ll take that all day long, thank you very much. We are up to 15th in the table again so maybe there is a late surge ahead for us? I’ll need to replace Harry, and with an FA Cup weekend coming up as well I’ll need to put some thought into who comes in. With Sergio also out, it could be a double change.
