Gabriel and Jesus became the next two signings for Manchester City, for a combined £27m from Palmerias.

What do you mean he is the same player?  The Brazilian international will actually join up with Pep in January, apparently he wants to spend Christmas with the family.  We can all have a good look at the next Neymar/Pele/Ronaldinho when he plays for Brazil in the Olympics.  Pep is expected to move for Moses and Pope in the next few hours, completing his very own holy trinity.

Roma were clearly very impressed with Mo Salah’s general housekeeping whilst on loan to them last season.  They have made him a permanent employee, paying Chelsea something in the region of £12m for his services.

I see what David Moyes meant by turning Sunderland into the new Everton. Steven Pienaar is training with his former boss in the hope of getting a deal. Before we know it, Fellaini will be there and Tim Howard will be returning from the States.  All they need to do is pick up the phone to Victor Anichebe and Phil Jagielka and they get bonus points for completing a set.

According to Wales defender Sam Ricketts, who doesn’t play in the top flight, the Hull job was too small for Chris Coleman. To be honest, I disagree. Coleman is used to working with players way below the level they are performing on and getting the best out of them. Actually, with that statement it is a shame England didn’t have a look.  Hull did decide to sell their one fit player in the end.  Diame has legged it off to St James Park to join Rafa’s Revolution.  I know Newcastle are not in the Premier League, but you cannot fail to be impressed with their transfer strategy so far.  Basically, they are activating release clauses of all the other Championship clubs best players.  Cunning Rafa, very cunning.

Koeman has said Everton want “to grow and win.” What a waste of a press conference. I’d love a new manager to rock up and say “this club wants to get smaller and lose more often.”  Sadly for Koe, growing and winning is not something Lukaku wants to do wearing that shade of blue.  He fancies himself in a slightly different shade of blue, a London blue.

If you thought Arsene was getting a day off, think again.  Long-term Arsenal target, not exactly an exclusive club. Julian Draxler, has said he wants out at Wolfsburg.  Cue Arsenal making an embarrassingly low bid and being beaten to the signing by someone who actually wants to sign players.

Big Sam said last week that he would wait to see where Jose plays Rooney before deciding on his role within the England team.  According to Zlatan, Allardyce now has his answer.  The big Swede sees Rooney as his perfect strike partner.  Good luck sorting that one out Sam, Zlatan can’t play for England you know.  Mind you, Andy Carroll on the other hand….
