Transfer Tales

Transfer season is almost upon us friends, and while the season may be winding down the transfer rumours are only hotting up. So, every Friday here on Tales we will be bringing you all the latest rumours no matter how farfetched and ridiculous they sound. Whether it’s David De Gea to Real Madrid or Lionel Messi to Basingstoke Town, Transfer Tales has got you covered.

Madrid Merry-go-round

The current Champions League holders are set for a busy summer. It’s been a couple of years since an out of this world ‘Galactico’ signing and it looks as if Real Madrid may be going big this summer. One player set to be leaving the club, however, is James Rodriguez. It has never really worked out for the Colombian and he has found himself starved of game time this season as Zidane prefers to play a holding midfielder rather than a number 10, James’ best position. But don’t worry because his agent Gorge Mendes, who is not shady at all and I would go as far as saying is a good egg, has apparently almost secured him a move to Manchester United, according to Diario Gol. I for one wouldn’t mind James in the Premier League.

In terms of that big signing, Chelsea’s Eden Hazard seems to be Madrid’s number one target. All kinds of rumours have been floating around about this one. Madrid could be breaking the transfer record for the Belgian, or offering Alvaro Morata in the deal. The papers have pulled out the classic ‘Hazard has told close friends he’s moving to Madrid’ while some other papers have claimed ‘Hazard has told close friends he’s signing a new contract at Chelsea,’ so we will see where this one goes.

David De Gea could be finally on his way back to the Spanish capital. Real could again offer Alvaro Morata in the deal. In fact, the Spaniard has been involved in more swap deals than I’ve had hot dinners. Current Los Blancos keeper Keylor Navas could also be part of the deal so this one could rumble on for a while yet.

Kylian Mbappe to….

The young Frenchman seems to be the talk of the transfer town (which is located equidistant between Norwich and London, thanks for asking) in recent days as some of the biggest clubs in world football prepare to get their cash out for the Monaco striker. The 18-year-old is so expensive that according to L’Equipe only Barcelona, Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid can afford him. Arsenal are also interested but he’s probably got as much chance of going there as he does joining my non-existent five a side team.

Manchester United and Chelsea to go head to head

Trawling through the transfer rumours it appears United and Chelsea have a lot of the same transfer targets in mind. As mentioned above they would like a piece of Alvaro Morata (ideally all of him) and are both interested in £84 million rated Andrea Belotti. That price might seem like a lot, and the Torino man agrees according to Mediaset who claim that Belotti says he’s not worth that much.

United would also quite like to get their hands on Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann and could break the world record transfer on him. They would also quite fancy bringing Michael Keane back to the club after his tropical excursion away at Burnley, and if the Daily Star are to be believed then Jose Mourhino would like to reunite with Willian at United for £35 million.

Best of the Rest

Liverpool need some new defenders quite badly and they are prepared to break the bank on Virgil Van Dijk or Michael Keane, while Spurs will be doing their utmost to keep all their first teamers in North London as most of them are attracting interest. Marseille look to be going on a big spending spree courtesy of their new owners with Victor Valdes, Olivier Giroud and Yohan Cabaye all linked in recent weeks. Finally, Bournemouth could spend up to £25 million in the summer to bring in Nathan Ake and Asmir Begovic from Chelsea according to the Mirror.

That’s the first ever transfer tales done and dusted. If you’ve got any transfer rumours that are too crazy not to mention get in touch with Tales on Twitter.
