Fantasy Football

Oh yes, another weekend of Fantasy Football stuff and as I say – I may as well let the computer pick the team.

Why? Well, it never lets me put out the team I want to. Mind you, there were a few injuries this week so I can see where it is coming from this time.

Let’s have a look at what happened.

Jordan Pickford, 10 points

Now, granted most people will be calling that the worst Merseyside Derby ever and they have a point. From my point of view, it was excellent. With Salah not playing, all I was interested in was a clean sheet for Pickers and lo-and-behold we got one. A great start to the weekend.

Jamaal Lascelles, 1 point

Newcastle United are staying up, and a lot of it is down to this man. OK, he only got a single point this week but he has been a good player for me all season and I will probably buy him again next year.

Cesar Azpilicueta, 11 points

He’s back! A goal and three bonus points means Cesar is finally back in a bit of point scoring form. Chelsea have been dire recently, as has Cesar to be fair, but these are valuable points.

Ben Mee, 0 points

I don’t think Ben played.

Luka Milivojevic, 10 points

Not just penalty kicks, eh? Oh no. Luka can curl in a free kick too. He is Palace’s top scorer, which isn’t too hard when Christian Benteke is your front man.

Heung-Min Son, 2 points

I just knew I’d signed him after that purple patch was turning orange.

Dele Alli, 12 points

This is a good moment for Dele, if he can keep this up until the end of the season he might get a spot on the plane to Russia.

David Silva, 2 points

Saturday was one of those rare games where I wasn’t sure if David was actually playing or not. And that never happens.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, 1 point

The kid put in a great shift playing as a very, very, very deep-lying striker just behind his defenders in the Merseyside derby.

Glenn Murray, 2 points

He isn’t going to score if he keeps getting subbed.

Sergio Aguero, 0 points

But, at least his leg wasn’t broken by that tackle from Young. I reckon Sergio would have got up to take the penalty though.

Total: 51

51 is above the average, again, so it’s not too bad. All my arrows are green as well, which makes it quite a good week all in all. I am now 12th. Next week is a double gameweek so I might actually do some planning!
