With their takeover by American-based consortium COH Sports now finally concluded The Blades have a strong foundation to build on currently sitting in 3rd spot of the league and breathing down Burnley and Leeds necks.
Steven Rosen and Helmy Eltoukhy, will join the Blades’ board as co-chairmen and have already expressed an interest to get the club to the top and to stay their this time, possibly by investing in more players this January transfer window,

After starting the season with a -2 points handicap due to defaulting on transfer payments to other clubs last season, it looked like they had given themselves a harder job than necessary this season to get back up to the top flight, but fast forward a few months and they are in their pitching.
They are currently 4/6 with the bookmakers to get promoted again this season with Leeds at 1/16 and Burnley at ½.
Can They Do It?
They certainly have what it takes to go up but they have begun to rack up a lot of injuries with key players, Harry Souter and Arblaster out for the season and other key players such as Tyrese Campbell out too they Will need to invest heavily to make sure that the promotion is given the best chance possible.
Leeds are their main rivals but they have shown vulnerability dropping points recently at Hull with Meslier making another one of his random howlers, should they continue in that manner it throws the whole thing wide open for the teams below them.
The Verdict
The main tipsters out there have spoken and Sheffield United will get promoted if they spend above 10 million pounds in the Transfer Market, but only if they secure strong defensive and attacking solutions to the players they are missing.
Chris Wilder definitely has the right team behind him to find a bargain and with a little luck they could even win the title as well as promotion only time will tell.
